U-boat War Badge - Opinions Please

Hello Gentlemen,
The pictured U-boat war came to me with a group of other material, all of which is pretty certainly authentic. At first I didn't like the look of it, but having searched different threads I noticed that it bears a strong resemblance to 1.1.11 - Schwerin - zinc, post #40 in the Database Threads for Kriegsmarine War Badges:

Obviously if it is that all the gilt has rubbed off.
Could I get some opinions please?

Yes indeed, the unmarked zinc Schwerin, UC# 1.1.12 in the classification system.

Very uncommon actually.

Hi Norm, Many thanks for that. Good to have it's originality confirmed - it's an odd looking bird - a bit of a puny chest compared to those by most of the other manufacturers.
