    LM minesweeper

    finally found an LM minesweeper for sale. Unfortunately, the gilding is worn out (got a nicer one for me ??)

    from other pictures it looks good but would appreciate your thoughts.

    It looks good to me. Does anyone know if these badges are considered Aurichs or subcontracted pieces? ~ ED Maroli

      Supposedly the follow on firm from Aurich. Just assumptions as far as I can tell though.

      As to the badge, looks good to me.

          Thunder Thighs

          I noticed two aberrations in my LM minesweeper. Can other owners verify if their piece shares these traits:

          First, my badge is slightly vaulted and I noticed that the eagles wings are more drawn back than the badge is vaulted. I tried to capture that perspective in the pictures below:

            Second, I noticed that the eagle has very thick and heavy thighs...'thunder thighs' if you will. The photos below show them from several angles.

            Let me know if your's are the same way.

              My LM features the same aberrations as your's. I believe the drawn back wings are more of an illusion though. If looked at from the flat angle illustrated by you, it appears that way. Try looking from a 30 degree angle and you'll notice it's a continuation of the concave shape.
