    Thoughts on minesweeper badge

    Hello,

Before I buy this minesweeper badge I would just like to here some opinions on it before I make the call. The badge looks like its good in quality but also looks a bit crude in some areas. I would appreciate it greatly if someone can give me some opinions and tips on this one.

    Many thanks and regards

    Brayden

Okay Thankyou! I've run across a couple minesweeper badges here and there but not really seen one like this I guess. I suppose this would be a late war badge or?

      Thanks very much

          Hi Brayden,
Rettenmaier is one of the makers who most likely continued to produce TR badges after the war ended so there is no 100% certainty that your badge is wartime, but as far as the construction and finish is concerned it matches known wartime originals (with provenance). The best term to use is 'wartime compatible' in such cases.
          Cheers,
          Hubert

Hmm interesting so its almost like the Rudolf Souval badges then? Where some were made postwar? Do you guys think its worth 90 euros? There doesn't seem to be any gold finish on it is that typical for Rettenmaier? Sorry if my questions seem amateur, I'm a young collector that doesn't know as much about KM awards then I do Wehrmacht. The deal just seems to good to pass up

            Thanks
