    Another "L/21" Destroyer badge

This "early, quality metal" (as described) L/21 destroyer badge is just listed on Mike Tucker's site. I think it looks pretty decent, but it doesn't look like tombak and it is different from the "L/21" in his book....and both are quite different from the zinc variety.

Will the real "L/21" Destroyer badge please stand up?

      Hmmmmm.....no opinions?

Somebody just paid $425.00 for this badge.
Is it a good one? Is this the L/21 we should looking for?

      Just wondering.

IF this badge is tombak...then it is the Holy Grail.

But....to me, it doesn't look like tombak.

        Dear Lorenzo,

It is IMO a good badge, exact same setup, including catch, as on other original L/21 war badges. It is zinc though, not Tombak.

                L21

Is this L21 destroyer, the 'zinc' version that is being referred to? I got kind of worried when I saw Tucker's posting.

Yes, that is the other zinc variant.
                  Cheers, Frank
