U-Boat badge please help ..

I think I have seen this type of catch ( folded lip ) before on an L/58 marked HJ Leistungsabzeichen , so I was already assuming a Souval repro here .

But does the badge itself resemble any wartime maker - because I cannot find one that looks like it .
Could it be original but assembled with a postwar pin & catch ?

You were quite right in your first impression — this is a post-war Souval-produced U-Boat badge which they made by casting from their wartime design.
