    Coastal Artillery badge , rare manufacture or fake ?

    I have had this Coastal artillery badge in my collection since 1993 . I have never seen another marked with the "A" for Assmann .
    Please review and give feedback .

        Hi joecool,

        That CA badge is an old cast reproduction of a Juncker CA badge. You can see the similarities on direct comparison (attached) but of course without the maker mark.

        That seem "A" mark is seen on various old fakes and sometimes also added to original badges to "enhance" their value.

            Here's a genuine P&L Minesweeper but with replaced hardware and the "A" mark added. (This one unfortunately made it into "Tucker's German Combat Awards of the Third Reich", vol. 1 in 2002)
