A Few Kriegsmarine Badges for Review

I would appreciate a few opinions on these badges.

    1. Souval (R.S.) marked Destroyer

    2. Souval (R.S.) marked Auxillary Cruiser

    3. Unmarked Uboat

My guess is that the Souval pieces are 'wartime compatible'. I am less sure about the Uboat badge.

Thanks in advance. All help is greatly appreciated.

A noticed that the Uboat badge is at least trying to be an unmarked Souval.

        An thoughts?

          Hi Calvin,

I agree with your assessment: "wartime compatible" Destroyer and AC badge and a post-war Souval U-Boat.

Having said that, I'm even less enthusiastic than usual about the two "wartime-compatible" badges because of the company they keep with that U-Boat showing similar "wear". Did they all come from the same source?

          Best regards,
          ---Norm

            Hello Norm,

            Thanks for your help!

My photos aren't great - I used my cell phone. In hand, the U-boat badge shows much less wear than either of the destroyer or aux. cruiser.

The badges all are coming together out of a very old collection. Probably from the 1960's and 70's.

The old collection had some very nice higher-en original items. And a few fake lower-end items.

            Again, thanks.
