Id help - fake or real (U-boat badge)

I collect iron crosses however this is a local item I came across. I do not know much about these badges.... can someone help to let me know if this is real or a repro?

Fake, sorry.
The "fo" marking is slightly visible.
The type of catch is not common for this badge, usually is round wire ? shaped.
The pin is also round wire without that longitudinal line.
The back of the badge is also poorly casted, usually this is a clear sign of fake.

Craig's list is usually not where original examples of U-boat badges can be found. Estand here would be a better place to start, or a dealer, first posting here even the dealer example before purchasing.

If you are just in the market to obtain a U-boat badge and do not really want to spend the time to become familiar with them, that is what I would do.
