U boot badge -opinions please

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and would appreciate greatly your expertise on this badge.
Had this one a long time but I'm not a collector of Kriegsmarine badges.
The base metal has quite a yellow tint to it.
I'm not too hopeful about this one and not doing too well in the Luftwaffe forum either.

Yes they did. It's my own stupid fault for falling into the age old trap.
Look at the badge and not the dealers stories.
But it was a while ago.
My next step is to put my infantry and panzer assault badges up on the Heer forum.
Oh well, here goes.
