Hi Guys,

Although I agree it's an original badge, the wear pattern seems unusually extreme, almost like its been ground down at some point. Also, the crusty gilding looks like an old refinishing job to me, perhaps later sanded off?

Compare to Tom's badge with original finish.

I agree about the remnatns of a gilt on the obverse, it must have been refinished sometime in the past.
