Myself, breezing through the forum this morning (0500) I saw reference to "goblet" so popped into the KM section just to see. I must admit I don't often venture into the KM section but, by this thread I can see you boys are a tough crowd.

Three photos, no mention of any markings, what it's made of, no closeups of how the eagle was affixed, or real detail of the insignia/badge, no articulation of where found, not even a look inside and we have "junk" & "fantasy" with no discussion.

Oh well. I guess the EU has spoken.

              Hi Rick,
There is no need for additional info or images in this case. This is one looker. Pure junk. Just a goblet of unknown origin or period customised by addition of fake KM breast eagle and fake u-boat badge on top of it in order to make it look cool
              Cheers,
              Hubert

                Rick,
I agree with Hubert. I saw these by the hundreds in flea markets and junk shops throughout Eastern Europe in the 90s and early 2000s. They are just old/new wares that have been humped up with fake badges and (often) impossible inscriptions to sell to gullible customers. These are akin to the nasty cast lead fake TR badges that have been sold to collectors for years. They are definitely one looker fakes to anyone that has seen and studied them.

Now the USA has spoken as well. Perhaps we can now sign a formal pact with the EU to agree that this is a fake!

No worries guys. I admittedly know nothing of these things - I'm an insignia sort-of guy.... Just thought it was a quick dismissal but perhaps not so quick for you guys who've looked at these things in depth.
