    BH Mayer (L/18) HSF.....

Maybe I missed it, but this is the first HSF marked L/18 (BH Mayer) of this type that I have ever seen. It is on Detlev's site this morning. Nice badge and quite rare IMO. The finish and hinge, catch and pin set-ups are exactly the same as on the rare L/18 E-Boat badge.

Anybody ever seen this HSF before?
A nice catch for somebody, IMO.

      Hello Lorenzo,

That is a really nice High Seas Fleet Badge, and as you said, one that is not often encountered. I have never owned one before, but I have seen them from time to time. My friend, Ed Maroli, owned one, but he sold it about five years ago.
      Best regards! Tom

        Hi Lorenzo

I saw it, but it was my first time to see it. I was afraid of it,and I'm too green. There are some things good, but the EUR is pretty strong lately. Thus, I can't touch anything except left button of mouse.

        best regards

        Indy

ps HSF's pine is a bit different from e-boat....did you see that? Is that normal?

Here are the only L/18's I was able to find in my files. Both with different set-up and the one with horizontal pin is very different.

Hi Philippe. Yes, I remember those being discussed on this thread:

                    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ght=hsf+l%2F18

But I must say that the one shown above (on Detlev's site) is the one I would go with. Hinge with rectangular plate, catch and pins are the same as on the minesweeper and e-boat.

Hopefully the new owner is a Forum member and he can give us good close-up pictures with weight and measurements for us to study.
