    do the examples above have a brass pin????

      Nice badges!

      I have an identical AC to the one Johan shows. The back is less scooped than the one Phillipe shows. On mine the pin is stamped L/21. The pin is silver plated.

      I also have a L/21 marked sub badge. The pin shows some wear and looks to be made of brass.

      I foolishly let an unmarked L/21 destroyer badge get away from me.
