    Another KM to identify, please

Another one I am not sure (understand I don't know) KM badge. Opinions and photos welcome

I know the red/yellow pennant is the German maritime signal flag for the number "7".

Are you sure that this one should be an KM badge ?

A " pipe-smoking-sailor " on an "official KM badge" ??? ....very unusual IMO

same badge is shown in a book I have (I will look up tonight the name) but with a "black & white" flag. Described as not yet identified unit (presumably a "KM land unit").

Book shows also a period picture of same "image" drawn to a lorry wagon, so it is period for sure.

      Regards
      Christian

        page 107 of "La Kriegsmarine 1935- 1945"
they say there that it "may" be a sueface ship or a coastal artillery unit
But if my memory serves me well it is also mentioned in a different book

...I'll take back my comment in post #2

It's the badge from the Marine Flak Abt. 803 in Brest

it named : " Der fahrende Seemann " ( 'the driving seaman')

and the different flags on the same badge are respectively for the different unit and /or batterie of the 803.

( The painted emblem of the badge was also used on their cars. )

IMO, this badge is the emblem of the 14. Marine-Kraftfahr-Abteilung (Formed 9.41 in Brest. Subordinated to Seekdt. Bretagne).

One badge from my collect (Found in Brest):

                    Best regards
                    Ben
