Coastal Artillery Badges - Safe To Buy

I have been offered a choice of either of the badges - both are currently for sale.

The photos are not the best and I will obtain the badges on approval if this thread gives a positive feeling to them.

I can take further photo's then.

Generally thought to be a rather good copy.

Although a "respected" german magazine did once bring an article in which they claimed to have one from a veterans estate.

No way, these are copies and that magazine has to be read with caution anyway. Too many contributors who need a serious update on "today´s" fakes.

Double no way!
I agree with Frank. Don't ever believe one of these to be real. They are modern, high-tech crap. There is also one of these badges pictured in Forman's second edition book, but that does not make it original. These fakes have fooled many collectors, myself included.
