    Real Or Fake? Auxiliary Cruiser Badge R.S.

    Had this badge for a little bit now and would like some help determining if it is the real deal or a fake. Thanks for the help.

      Hi Wolf.
      As you probably know R. Souval continued producing badges after the war, so these pieces are always up for discussion.
      BUT, from what I can see this badge has a chance being a war time example, correct hinge, correct maker mark (too bad bout he catch though)

        I asked my local sources they are all unsure. I knew the risk when I took the gamble on the badge, lucky I only payed $60 for it.

          It looks like it could be a wartime compatible badge to me also,or at least assembled postwar with period stock ?

          Despite the missing catch i think you did OK for $60.00.
