9 wave tombak R.K. mine sweeper

An EK guy with a question :

Is this R. K. minesweeper badge ok ? Not my area and looking at the chart I do not see it for some reason .
Lower sitting R.K.- 9 wave variant - seams to be tombak base to me ?.... chart shows 9 wave zinc base only ?
Tombak base would make it earlier - what year approximately ?

    Thanks Douglas

The more I look at it -- it might be zinc base ?
      Where is this flaw ?

Probably a copper wash before gilding > has kept it in better condition .
          Is it a 3.1.7 or 3.1.8. ?

            Hi Douglas,

Yes indeed, a typical zinc R.K. in nice condition, MC# 3.1.8. You can see the typical long vertical flaw running right down the middle between the "R" and the "K".

            Best regards,
            ---Norm

              Thanks Norm :

I did notice that on the back but was actually looking for something on the front .

              Thanks Martin .

              Cheers, Douglas
