You definitely need better photos....

but I believe it's a "reproduction" from what your photos
show. Pin catch was not soldered onto a separate base
on original 1st patterns. Your photo shows a 'base' under
the catch in my interpretation of your photo....

Pin catch was not "round" on the original 1st patterns either....
It was "flat" & bent into a 'c' directly onto the back of the award.
Your photo shows a "round" catch in my interpretation of your photo.
