Looks like a Rettenmaier zincer to me
                      Cheers,

I agree, it does look most like a Rettenmaier-attributed flatback. It's seem really thick. I adjusted a few images with Photoshop to better show where the vertical setup was removed and the new top hook added.

                        Best regards,
                        ---Norm

Here's a typical Rettenmaier-attributed "flatback" (Tim Ball's from the database thread). Despite its nickname, these usually show a slightly vaulted production, whereas the badge under discussion looks truly flat and thicker. Also the margins of the "Rettenmaier" badges are usually more heavily hand-smoothed than the badge in the opening post. I don't recall seeing one quite like the badge in the opening post.

                          Best regards,
                          ---Norm

                            Another typical example (from gtbpappy)

side-by-side. Obviously a lot more hand smoothing of the margins of the badge on the left.
