Hi John,

IMO, a fake based upon the Souval design. Mind you, Souval also made cast repros based upon his own wartime badges which sometimes makes it hard to tell his own fakes from other people's fakes, but that hardware is not typical of Souval.

I agree.

I had asked before if you have ever seen a KM S-boat marked L/11 (the other Souval HSF postwar example--I do not define them as fakes more reproductions for the souvenir market--posted earlier has what I deem a spurious mark).

I do not recollect any S-boat with that mark and very few other KM combat badges with it either, period types.

Yes, out of all Deumer KM badges only tombak Deumer Minesweepers, vertical and horizontal hardware variants, feature L/11 marks.

Those with horizontal hardware are extremely hard to find marked L/11.
