Repaired U-Boat

Hi Guys

Just saw a thread by member Hubert about a repaired CAB badge and thought I would post my repaired U-Boat Badge.

I bought this from DN many moons ago. The badge was priced and described accordingly for a badge that had had been de-nazi and then repaired.

I believe the badge is a Juncker type 1.2 (?).

here the pictures and hope my post adds to our knowledge of these kinds of badges.

The obverse shows where the eagles talons are missing due to the swaz repair, the reverse clearly shows repairs due to the addition of the swaz as well as plier indentation marks left from the repair work.

I agree, very nice, although renazified, tombak Juncker
Type 1.2.1 in the Juncker u-boats thread or 2.1.3 in the U-boat Classification system.
Here is mine of this type.

That's a superb example of this badge and thanks for sharing. I always wanted to see what an original and unaltered badge of this kind looked like.
