    It looks like Staegemeir fake to me. At best, postwar S&L.

      Hubert may be correct in regards to the Staegemeir fake,although i am leaning towards a postwar S&L badge,due to the color of the basemetal.

      Can you show a close up of rivet on the reverse??

        I agree with the other opinions that the badge in the opening post is post-war. Whether assembled by S&L, Staegemeir or a supplier of Staegemeir is a secondary question.

        Here are a couple of examples from Staegemeir's site for comparison.
