    Submarine warbadge, original?

    Hello,

the badge looks like a "Meybauer", but I think it´s a copy. Thanks for help....

    Hi Mathias,

Absolutely ok as far as I'm concerned. The maker of these high quality buntmetall U-boats is unknown though. Besides the hinge featured on your example these also come with a "Schwerin Type" block hinge. Nice actualy worn badge.

I would say not a Meybauer but also not a copy.
I have one of these myself and they are one of the nicest buntmetal UBoots around.
The detailing on your eagle looks a little weak, that may be due to wear or mearly the photo.
Reverse setup is the classic on these.

        Hello,
That is a good badge. I had owned one like that myself many years ago.
        Regards,

Hey guys ... if you look at the reverse, the gold wash appears like it has "paint-brush" type of marks on it. Is this something you might sometimes find on a Kriegsmarine Badge OR any Third Reich Badge?

Or may this be a the case of a Post War Paint job to give it more value? Just wondering.

              Hello,
The actual theory for this type of badge seems to be a 'Juncker' made.
