Hi Rob,
That's the strangest Destroyer badge I've seen to date, and it doesn't look too promising I'm afraid.
It's a unique obverse design, different from all the known makers. There are numerous surface flaws suggestive of being either cast, artificially aged or ground-dug.
The hardware looks quite crude and doesn't match any wartime hardware. In fact, the hinge and main pin are similar to those seen on the fantasy Auxiliary Cruiser discussed in this thread (part of a series of fantasy awards). I wonder if this is perhaps from the same series?
Could you show some closeups of the hinge, catch and edges of the badge?

Unique design, looks artificialy aged and very bad hardware makes me think it's a copy
