just find this one last thursday near Brest

Hi Herlé,

Very interesting. If you clean that one up, I think you may find you have a hand vaulted Tombak S&L Type 1.1 (UC# 1.2.1 in the comprehensive U-Boat classification system).

Pity about the broken catch but if it realy is tombak S&L (I agree with Norm here) then it is very interesting find since these early S&Ls are quite rare

Here in Festung Brest, KM troops fought as Infantry. ....maybe lost by uboot crew or GI who was looking for "souvenir "....also made a mistake in my title....it is "ground dug"....find it with metal détector....

Indeed a fantastic find the only ground dug what i have found was a German wounded badge,..........these kind of things are really nice especially if they are found in your own district
