Opinions needed on U Boat badge and U Boat Combat Badge

I would be grateful for opinions on these badges. The U Boat Badge I think is not genuine, but I am not sure about the Combat Badge, which I assume is quite a bit rarer than the other.

i have to agree with Hubert here.The clasp is a very poor casting with incorrect reverse hardware,nowhere near what an original should look like.

and the u-boat looks to me like a cyclop fake with fantasy maker's mark.

Both bad fakes. Hope you did not get burned too bad on these badges. Its this kind of stuff that is killing our hobby.

Hi Hubert, Martin and John,
Thanks for your opinions and help with these badges. I have never handled a U Boat Combat Clasp, so have very little knowledge of these. The U Boat badge did not look right, even to my inexperienced eye, but it is always good to have an experienced collector's opinion. Both of these are coming up in auction, which I will now give a definite miss to, so no danger of wasting money on them John.
It is good that experienced collectors in forums like this can help others to avoid the efforts of the fakers, and thanks for that.
Incidentally am I correct in assuming that U Boat Combat badges are much scarcer than U Boat badges?
