        Hi

        Hi

Please wait for more opinions, I am not an expert on these.
But learned a bit about them. I just myself recent
        purchased a piece.

I think you have a great looking original Juncker tombak CAB in
a very desirable condition. With great deal of
original finish, but still a been there look and perfect amount
        of wear.

Juncker CABs have offen lost most of the finish.

        BR
        Nicolai

          Hi Adelheim,

I agree with Nicolai that it's a nice original Tombak Juncker badge -- the later variant with the flat-wire catch as opposed to the round-wire catch.

Junckers don't hold their finish very well. That one has a nice amount of the dark reverse finish, but as usual not much gilding left on the obverse. Also I think it's been chemically cleaned at some point which explains the occasional flecks of bright shiny gilding seen on the obverse on the background of mostly raw Tombak without much patina. This will gradually fade again over time, I believe.

For comparison, here are some truly mint examples (previously posted by Thomas Bendixen) from the Resistance Museum in Copenhagen.

          Best regards,
          ---Norm
