      Hi Steve,

      I agree, a good worn Tombak Fleet badge. Looks like the someone bent the right wing with some pliers at some point.

        Steve,

        I agree with the Norm, the badge at the top on the side by the corrosion has been bent.

        If it was on the sides, both sides, where it was bent back by the sailor as we see so often, no issue, but this damage is hard to understand in regards to purpose.

        It is a period badge.

          looks authentic

          Looks good to me as well. You never know what experiments people tried on these badges over the last 70 years plus. Some people even let their kids play with the stuff. I remember a guy in high school who used to carve his initials into trees using an RAD Hewer his Granddad gave him.

          The main thin is it is a good piece.
