        Hi gtbpappy,

Looks like a worn hand-vaulted Foerster & Barth with a replaced reverse setup. Mind you, there's also the possibility that it's a variant setup like is sometimes seen on the "F&B-like" Auxiliary Cruiser. Can you show closeups of the soldered areas of the catch and hinge?

        Best regards,
        ---Norm

The more I look at it, the more it looks like the hardware is original to the badge. Here's a comparison of the hardware on your Minesweeper on the left and that on Martin's "F&B-like" Auxiliary Cruiser variant on the right. Different sized catch plate but otherwise a pretty good match, and the Minesweeper is definitely a match for F&B's Minesweeper. It looks like the finish was not only worn off but also scoured off, leaving a small patch on the back of the swastika that was hard to get at?

          Best regards,
          ---Norm

It also looks like the swastika has been ground down -- likely de-nazified and then re-nazified.
