Thanks Giel, I hadn't actually seen one of these before but recognised the typical FLL construction and lettering. Turns out this is only the 2nd example to surface

Great find Patrick, that is the true benefit of good knowledge in this hobby.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Just enlarging Patrick's photos. Too bad someone wrote in marker inside the carton. If the fake CA badge that came with that FLL carton is marked "Schwerin" I assume it's one of the "Cave Creek Specials"?

            Best regards,
            ---Norm

Thanks Patrick. Yes indeed, classic "Cave Creek" fake.

Side-by-side comparison of the two FLL Marine-Artillerie cartons posted to date. Looks like the same lettering, just in a slightly different location. The FLL Luftwaffe cartons also seem to show variability in the location of the lettering.

I think the tissue is original from the factory- it is waxed on one side, I have seen similar red/ pink tissue in FLL cartoned CCC's and IABs

By coincidence another one of these FLL cartons complete with a minty FLL Marine Artillery badge was on M-B's update this past week.
