Auxillary Cruiser Opinions

My new AC badge. I feel confident that it is a good one and running it past the good folks here at the forum for additional input. I picked it up from a friend (I met here at the forum). I just love these badges. I am curious though, as there were so few auxillary cruisers still on the seas wheb zinc badges came out, it seems like one could narrow it down to a couple of ships. Or were these badges issued for reasons other than the traditional AC?

I have wondered about that too...it seems that the number of badges extant outnumber what would have been required...I suspect a good amount went unissued. I also believe that those entitled to these badges would have the option of purchasing extra copies for whatever reasons.
