Hi vitt,

Your closeups do indeed show some unusual deformities which couldn't be seen on the previous small photos. Nevertheless I think it's still an original, just a defective one.

With any S&L zincer one always wonders which might be late wartime vs. post-war assembly. There's much we don't know about post-war activities but so far we haven't had any reason to suspect that crimped-in hardware variants continued post-war.
