    Research question

    Hi guys,
    I got the opportunity to have WWII kriegsmarine officer set. The set itself was already posted here on the forum before. Officer name is Wolfgang Laudan, he was lieutenant on "Friedrich Ihn" destroyer. Was wounded and recovered in hospital in Norway. He got 2 DRL badges for swimming competition in 1938. I would appreciate for any additional information about this person.
    Also I have a question about that named metal strip. What is it for? Any ideas?
