Just thought I would show this one for posterity as original Souval aux cruisers are actually seriously hard to find. They have also been well faked by Staegemaier.
The condition of this one is about as good as they come

Hi Guys,

I agree with Martin -- a Souval-made badge with wartime-compatible hardware. The time period of production/assembly/finish is always in doubt with Souval but some of them had to be made in wartime. Personally I prefer the gilt-reverse examples like Martin has posted in the past. This one reminds me of the type discussed in this thread:
