U-Boot Abzeichen, my second attempt

Hello all,

After having bought a fake Juncker some years ago I stayed away from these U-Boot badges. Untill now. I just received my, hopefully, correct Friedrich Orth. To me it does look like it has all the features necessary for this badge but then again, with such high quality fakes around, more opinions are gladly welcomed.

Hi Marcel,

The badge has a strange darkened, almost blackened, patina (has it also had a Vaseline treatment?) but I see no issues regarding authenticity. Your study has paid off.

Thank you for your reply. I must admit the badge looks a bit less dark in reality. I don't know about any vaseline treatment. This is how I received it this morning from the dealer.
Included here a pic from the dealer which shows the color in a bit brighter way (the real color, when in hands is somewhere in between this very dark and very light hehe):

Thanks. Unfortunately it's hard to get the exact colors good on pictures. With flash it is too bright and natural sunlight, well, this spring looks like autumn this year with only dark, rainy weather so hard to get good shots in natural light.
