        Hello Frank,

        Looks like an original badge, although I'm not sure about the gilding to the wreath. It may have been re-finished.

        Here is one to compare with:

              Good but,

              Ditto, congrats on an original CCA badge but as stated appears to have a post war applied coat of Gilt metallic on wreath portion.

                Hi Frank,

                Yes, I tend to agree that its refinished. You can see traces of the original gold finish on the hinge of your example, notice how much thinner and muted it looks compared to the thick gold paint they used on the obverse.
