Any original TR badge has a market value - what that market value is, may be the opinion of each individual.

The market is slow right now perhaps why your badge is not selling - if you're waiting to get a specific price you may have to hold on to the badge until the market picks up again!

Nice badges still do well and when offered on the estand or by dealers go in a reasonable period of time. However, although this badge is nice it is missing a lot of the finish. Badges like this are hard to sell and the price is much higher then I would ask for the same badge, that is why it is not selling.

        Thanks for your comments guys!

Bob, what is (in your opinion) a fair price for this u-boot badge on the market today?

        Thanks again

          Hi Alessio!
In my opinion and experience a U-boat badge with little or no finish these days will sell for somewhere between 300-350 dollars. On the other side, a killer Schwerin marked example will bring more then ever before!

              My Pleasure Alessio!
The estand is a good place at times to buy and sell but not always. Many people try to judge the economy of the hobby by the estand which is not accurate. My logical explanation to this is: how many really nice items do you see with really great prices? A few but it is rare, nice items still sell, some items bring more now then ever before.

Alessio, IMO your badge will sell at dealer price -10-20% (you need to do the research on the various dealer websites). I also think that you need to be patient--I always think in terms of 6 months for any item as you test the market for a piece, slowly dropping the price until it sells. In other words, an interested buyer might not be there today, but be looking in 2 weeks. You never know when you will match price to buyer--it could be right away or not.

                  Just take your time. John
