        Hi kokstok,

Beco is one of the rarest (and desirable, to Minesweeper specialists at least) makers you can find whereas the zinc flatbacks are among the most common and least desirable of Minesweepers.

Like Mark says, this flatback is not a Beco, but if we go by the exact wording of your question, then yes it is in fact the same design as Boerger & Co.
Beco used the very common "Type 2" Minesweeper obverse design that was shared by a multitude of makers including S&L, Schickle, P&L, F&B, Mayer, Souval and Hobacher.

The actual maker of the flatbacks remains speculation. A current popular theory is Rettenmaier in Schwäbisch-Gmund, and unknown whether late-war, post-war or a combination continuing into post-war production. But like I said, still unproven.

        Best regards,
        ---Norm

Same comment as in the flatback Destroyer thread: we don't know if these were produced late war, post-war or both. Jury is still out.

              Best regards,
              ---Norm

                    Hi René,

Yes, but you'll notice that was changed in the English edition of "The Kriegsmarine Awards".

                    Best regards,
                    ---Norm
