Kriegsmarine Badge Help ID Fake or Original

Hello All: I am new to the forum so please forgive any mistakes. I bought this badge at an estate sale and the previous owner was a Vet of WW2. It is unmarked and the pin on the back is different from anything I have seen on this forum. It measures 2" x 1 1/2". It appears to have been polished, since it has residue in the tight spots. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Agree that it is an original Deumer. It is not one of the more common badge types but I am not sure if I would say rare. I have come across 3 of these for sale in the last year on the net and at shows but then "rare" is in the eyes of the beholder. Still, very nice badge.

Rare or not,what is important here is that you have a fine looking original badge.

Thanks to everyone for the information. After looking at pages of badges on the net, I never did see this type of back, so I wasn't very hopefull it was real.
