This must be the rarest of the u-boat badges, I was very pleased to find this. Needle pin version and very nice condition with polished swaz

Hi Patrick,

Congratulations on an awesome badge acquisition. This is only the 3rd one of this particular variant I've seen, the other two being in this old thread by Tim B.:

As highlighted in that thread, this variant of the Hymmen design with the round-wire pin setup has slightly different trimming outlines from the wide-pin version.
