Attached images

Hi guys,

since the "Server Change" on the 21st i am having a problem in that i cannot view the attached images on most of the threads here.Not just on the KM forum but on other sub-forums too.

Anyone else having the same problem ??

Yes. I think it just will take some time. I can see pics I posted after the change, but not the ones before.

Good to know that i am not the only one having this problem.

I was looking for some images on a forum search,i could view nothing.There was just a box that said "attached image" on the posts.

Most threads have nothing in them at present. I could take some time to move the photos across as there are thousands of them. I can now see some, such as the RK data base ones, but not many yet. We'll get there, this is a huge job.

I have no problems with viewing images but the forum after server change works veeery slowly...

They are transferring 2.5 million photos right now. It will take some time.

I imagine that is why everything is so slow. Don, as Moderator can you pass on our thanks for all the hard work, its a hell of a job.

The entire process is going to take some time. Clearly there is a problem technically but that is being worked on (a ticket with the hosting company has been opened) plus moving all the attachments is going to take days...perhaps even a couple of weeks. There is no fast way of doing it.

Currently we've done about 10% (215 000 attachments), the transfer speed is between servers is about 53 KB per second. with about 2.5 million attachments with perhaps an average size of 150 KB...it's going to take a lot of time.
