    Hello Emtec 104
I am by no means an expert here on these badges but based on my book knowledge your badge appears to be a Rudlolf Souval Variation 1. The maker mark exhibits the typical angular raised letters used on variation 1. Your badge also exhibits the round wire retaining clip which is soldered to a base plate which in turn is soldered to the badge. This is good to see. I do know that post war examples used a retaining clip much different than what was used by war time examples which helps to identify a post war example. Your piece looks okay but you may want to wait to hear from other forum members with more experience than me. I do know that these badges made by this manufacturer were produced thirty years after the war. Therefore, there are many post war examples out there. Good luck.

      Hello,

IMO it's an original Rudy Souval variant 1.

      Best regards,
      Gabor

Hard to tell from these pictures. The base material makes me believe, that this could be a Staegemeir reproduction.

Better pictures are needed to give a definite answer.

        Regards,

        Daniel

            Hi Guys,

This is a well-known Staegemeir reproduction. It fooled a lot of folks in the beginning. They all have identical linear "hand vaulting" marks on the reverse, in this case cloned into all the cast fakes.

            Best regards,
            ---Norm

Just adding the photos of the fake posted by emtec104 from the host server so they're not lost to the thread.
