Hi Dai,
You certainly collect unusual badges!
I love the hollow-back Deumer - a beautiful and rare early badge.
I also really like your solid block hinge with classic setup which is very unusual with the cutouts around the eagle's shoulders. I can't recall seeing another example of this variant, and from other photos of that one posted in the past I believe it may have been "customized" at some point after production, as you can see the gilding has been filed off of the edges. Quite unique.

Your third badge (with the tube catch) is a slightly more controversial example. That's the same example that made the rounds in the U.K. first sold without a package and then sold with a carton. It was discussed previously here:

Whereas all other Tombak Deumers have characteristically uniform cutouts, that one has different hand finishing of the interior cutouts. Although some makers are known for their variable hand finishing, Deumer isn't one of those, so that example remains unexplained at present.
