Hi Martin, I think it's a copy of a Baqueville. Base metal is wrong, details are weak and there is no plate under the catch.

Well, the detail may just be poor from the bad photos. To me it looks like a "real Bacqueville" (whatever that means) with the hardware sawn off. Doesn't make it any more desirable I'm afraid. Not a wartime award piece.
