Schwerin eagle

Hi Guys,

I know this isn't a badge but I thought I'd post this Schwerin summer uniform breast eagle here in the awards section because it's interesting to compare some features to the Schwerin KM badges.

This is a nice quality anodized aluminum product, similar to the "M"-marked Maedicke breast eagles, but with features unique to Schwerin.

When you compare the Schwerin maker mark to the U-Boat badge it's an excellent match.

And the dome-head hinge pin is an exact match to those seen on the Schwerin Minesweeper badge in the second comparison.

The eagle's head is reminiscent of that on the Schwerin Blockade Breaker badge.

Beautiful Schwerin summer breat eagle Norm, one of the better designs and very à propos for this maker's association to KM badges. I have one marked like yours and unmarked version. It also exists in silver (anodized aluminum) but I have not been able to find one so far.
