    Hi Gents...picked this one up today. Look's like a good one but thought I'd run it past the forum.

      I am more familiar with the 2nd pattern (as I think we all are since the 1st pattern is pretty hard to come by...) so I don't want to make any statements - but if the position of the catch is something to determine I would look at that. Some close ups of the lettering would be helpful. Anyways here are some threads that might help!

                        Considdering what numbered badges go for these days, these first pattern clasp are far undervalued.
