Fleet & Artillery badges , worth buying ?

My fellow collectors ,

I am a helmet guy and seek your expertise in evaluating these two
badges that are offered to me.
I think both are OK concerning originality , but I would like to know
if they have any issues from the point of view of an expert..

May I also seek your advice regarding a fair for both parties value ?

Hi,
Both original awards
CAB is S&L zincer and HSF is early tombak award by Schwerin, Berlin.
can you provide side vievs of the catch on HSF and the hinge on CAB? Since there is a risk that the catch is replaced on HSF as well as the hinge pin on CAB. I need a side views to say if there is a problem or not.

Hi Bernhard,

I agree, you need to get better pics of the HSF catch. The scratchings in that area indicate a possible repair. It's a nice early tombak example, but worn with no gilt finish remaining (except on the eagle).

The hinge-pin may have been tightened (or replaced) on the Coastal Artillery Badge, but I don't think that would have a big impact on price.

Some repair was certainly done on the HSF catch.

The hinge pin on the CAB looks fine on these images but the catch on HSF is definitely replaced.
