Just cking, is this a good badge? I've never seen one that is hollow.

Hi Daniel,

Although it's in very poor condition with a damaged eagle head and missing the hinge and pin, that is indeed a genuine rare early Schickle hollow U-Boat badge.

I'm uploading the photos for easier viewing and discussion.

Thanks for info....Norm your right, it's really rough, I'm sure if it could talk it would have a story to tell. Andy, WOW........NICE! Hopefully, I'll be able to upgarde, LOL...anything eles is better, but am still pleased with it for the price I paid. I'll try and take more pic's of my collection, some I know are fakes, but for the most part, most of them are real. Thanks Again, Daniel

despite the poor condition,this is a badge worth keeping IMO.

As Norm has mentioned these hollow Schickle U-Boat badges are very rare.

Perhaps you might find a nice solid example like the one Andy has shown to "upgrade", but i would hold on to this hollow piece,nonetheless.

As said before the hollow variant is very rare and it's worth keeping even in this condition
