    good Coastal Artillery badge??

    Hi guys!
I'm pretty sure this Coastal Artillery Badge is real but I also have doubts about it, so I was hoping I could get a 2nd opinion before I bought it?
    Thank you!

Congratulations on your find. You can find some additional information at, http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=498426. If you are able then I invite you to add this badge’s dimensions. We are trying to gather as many examples of height, width, and weight for these unmarked S&Ls. Thanks, Chad

I would think that this badge when measured may be just a hair shorter than the others and a tad lighter due to the corrosion and loss of material on the inferior aspect of the wreath. I notice on weights we vary from whole gram measurements to hundredths of a gram. Same with our mm measurements. Maybe we should agree on tolerances for our measurements. I would think that if we get down to hundredths of grams we may find that different hardware set ups will have different weights at this degree of accuracy but we will probably never have a large enough sample to determine significant differences so it would be logical to agree on a range or reduce the significant figures or both.

                Just a thought.

Has the badge been de-nazified? It appears that the swastika has been filed smooth.

No it's just the angle, it was never de-nazified, just the angle of the camera and the lack of finish
