          The right one is a fake for sure.
          The left one lookes original to me, a bit low quality guns on the destroyer than I get used to on Schwerin badges, but I can't find more fault.

            Hi J,

            Wow, that's a first for me. We've often seen de-nazified badges but this is the first time I've seen one de-Schwerinized! Not sure why anyone would do that!

            But I agree with Hans, the Tombak Destroyer on the left looks fine while the zincer on the right is an obvious fake.

                  Hi Jumper,

                  i agree with the above comments.

                  The badge on the right is fake but the badge on the left looks like an original tombak Schwerin.

                  Could you post an image of the eagle and swastika on the original tombak badge ?

                  It is hard to tell if it is a 1st or 2nd type Schwerin due the the "de-Schwerinized" maker mark,as described by Norm.
